Pamela Cubas, Ph.D.
Dr. Pamela Cubas
I am originally from Kansas City, MO, and currently reside in (Georgia, don’t know the city yet). I have been married for 26 years (July), and we have three children: Victoria (23), Nicolas (22), and Madison (20). We also have the added blessing of our son-in-law, Wyatt. I have a PhD in Biblical Counseling and Practical Theology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. I am a professor at Lancaster Bible College, overseeing their practicum program within their MA in Christian Care. I previously taught at Colorado Christian University in their MA in Professional Counseling program, and I served as an OTA at Boyce College in their Biblical Counseling program.
I have experience counseling adults and adolescents who have faced sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and same-sex attraction. I also have experience in marriage and family counseling.
I have counseled in a variety of settings. Under licensure in Oklahoma City, I counseled at an inpatient children’s center, where I helped teens who were sexually abused and who sexually abused others and their co-occurring struggles, such as suicidal ideations and attempts, depression, anxiety, and other issues concerning their conduct and attachments. I also worked in outpatient settings with teens and their families. I have provided pro-bono and low-cost biblical counseling for churches in South Korea, Oklahoma, and Colorado Springs. I have been a guest speaker at The Christian & Missionary Alliance Youth Next conferences, teaching how to counsel youth and understand and help teens and families dealing with sexual and gender struggles. I enjoy painting, walking trails, pickleball, and cornhole.
